COLLIN COUNTY CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER

Director of Dream Fulfillment/Executive Director Emeritus - 2001
Responsible for establishing a $2.6 million dollars capital campaign to retire the debt on the current facility, purchase land adjacent to the facility and establish an endowment.

CEO/Executive Director - 1992 to 2001
Responsible for total program leadership, development, management and strategic planning including funding, procurement, facility management, public speaking, financial and team management. Extensive interface with Child Protective Services, law enforcement agencies, CASA, District Attorney’s Office, judges and community resource agencies dealing with child abuse as well as corporate and individual funders. Responsible for $1.5 million operating budget and $3.4 million capital campaign.

TEXAS SPECIAL OLYMPICS - 1991 to 1992

Development Director for Fort Worth
Responsibilities included procurement and management of funds for $500,000 program support including corporate, foundation and individual sources.

Special Projects Coordinator for Texas - 1988 to 1991
Responsibilities included procurement and management of state and national funding opportunities to support a $2+ million budget annually. Sources included foundations, corporations, individuals, special events, direct mail and telephone solicitations.

AUSTIN CHILDREN’S MUSEUM - 1986 to 1988
Development Officer Responsible for all aspects of fund development to support $250,000 capital campaign.

TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF HUMAN SERVICES - 1985 to 1986
Nurse IV Medical Analyst for Quality Assurance Responsibilities included preparation of pilot project proposals for federal and state examination and funding, Analyzed and evaluated program performance and compliance with federal law, regulations and the State Plan relating to programs administration by National Heritage Insurance Company under the health insuring arrangement. Responsible for utilization review of the Title XIX programs as directed by the Deputy of Health Care Services, State of Texas
